You may recognize Kimberly Nichole as a finalist NBC’s Season 8 of The Voice or as the Mistress of Madness from the wildly popular private New York night club, The Box (owned by Simon Hammerstein, grandson of Oscar Hammerstein II.)
Kimberly Nichole is no stranger to the big stage and has performed in front of industry A-listers such as Steven Tyler, Jude Law, Baz Luhrmann, Jay Z, Beyonce, Adrian Grenier, Leonardo DiCaprio, Bruce Springstein and more.
Kimberly Nichole was recognized in VOGUE, Seventeen Magazine and MTV UK for her sense of style, stage presence and captivating voice. An “avant-rock n roll” song stylist and songwriter, she hails from Seattle, Washington. After spreading her wings and relocating to New York City, her journey went into full speed. She’s performed nationally and internationally. She has shared the stage with Living Colour, Janelle Monae, Aloe Blacc, Bilal, Mayer Hawthorne and English Rock band The Heavy. Her mesmerizing performance style has captured the attention and support of Quincy Jones, Steven Tyler, Ashford & Simpson and fashion savant Andre Leon Talley. Talley was so impressed by Nichole that he invited her into the VOGUE office and featured her in the magazine.
Kimberly Nichole’s most amazing milestone has been writing and self-releasing her debut album “The Yellow Brick Journey”. Music from the album has been featured on MTV, VH1, BET, LOGO, Lifetime and Showtime. After hearing music from the project, famed director George C Wolfe personally selected Kimberly Nichole to be a featured rock performer in his film “You Are Not You”, which stars Emmy Rossum and Hilary Swank. Kimberly Nichole continues to perform with her band and is recording new music for her album The Lonely Bones. To assist in these efforts, she is the recipient of the ASCAP Foundations “Reach Out and Touch” Award, which was established to advance the careers of promising young songwriters.
